Bifur has now officially been added to Weta Workshop’s The Hobbit line of 1/6 scale sculptures. The sculpture shows Bifur in a very dynamic pose ready to throw his halberd and all of the details are absolutely stunning. Other dwarves that Weta has released are Balin[3]Dwalin[4], Kili[5], Fili[6], Thorin[7], Nori[8], Gloin[9], Bombur[10], and Bofur[11]. All that’s left now are Ori and Dori!

From Weta Workshop

Sculptor: Lindsey CrummettDimensions: 9.4″ x 8.7″ x 11″ (H x W x D), 24 cm x 22 cm x 28 cm

A veteran of the Orc War, Bifur the Dwarf bears the scars of battle, including the remnants of an enemy axe lodged in his skull.

Rendered incapable of speaking the common tongue by the injury, Bifur barks only gruff utterances in Khuzdul, the secret language of the Dwarves, and is prone to acting on sudden random compulsions. He is sometimes turned around or entirely absent of mind, staring off into the distance where some abstract notion has lead his thoughts to wander, or captivated to exclusion of all else around him by the intricate workings of the toys he crafts for his keep.

When his cousin Bofur joins the company of Thorin to retake Erebor from the Dragon Smaug, he brings Bifur with him, as much to keep an eye on the eccentric old Dwarf as for the sharpened boar spear he wields. Wayward in wit he might on occasion be, but Bifur is a fearless warrior.

This is a Limited Edition piece of 1,000 so if you would like to own this sculpture, order now! You can purchase it from Weta Workshop’s site by clicking here[12].

image Author: Myla Malinalda[20] After being dragged to see The Fellowship of the Ring back in 2001 with her dad, Myla fell head-over-hobbit-feet in love with Middle-earth. Myla would love nothing more than to be able to live peacefully in the Shire and go on the occasional adventure with Bilbo. She has a habit of becoming too attached to fictional characters and buying too many copies of the same book. Myla enjoys creating art whenever she can and collecting all things relating to Tolkien.
