It is my great pleasure to announce that the new Lembas Extra, the annual magazine of the Dutch Tolkien Society Unquendor, has been released. Once again it is packed with essays on Tolkien and Middle-earth, all written in English so that all Tolkien fans across the globe can enjoy the articles.

The theme of this Lembas Extra is “Tolkien in Poetry and Song”. There are several essays about Tolkien’s poetry, like Mythopoeia and The Song of Durin, but there is also Tolkien-inspired poetry from Dutch and foreign authors.

Contributions are from Ben Koolen, Tom Shippey, Renée Vink, Frits Burger, Sjoerd van der Weide, Dorine Ratulangie, Susan Edwards and Marion Kippers.

Lembas Extra is well-known to publish the best papers presented at conferences organized by Unquendor. This Lembas Extra however is different, but still maintains the high quality we expect from it.

In the foreword, by Cecile van Zon, we can read "this was a way to focus on Tolkien’s shorter works, which often do not get as much attention as they deserve. There is an other new feature in this Lembas Extra: this issue does not only contain papers, but also poetry. Tolkien's work has been a source of inspiration for many people, and writing Tolkien-inspired poetry is on the rise. I want to present to you some fine examples in this Lembas Extra".

Once again Unquendor has released a very interesting Lembas Extra that should be read by any serious Tolkien fan!

Lembas Extra is available at the Tolkien shop in Leiden (Holland) and can of course be ordered directly from Unquendor, by sending a small email to Este endereço de email está sendo protegido de spambots. Você precisa do JavaScript ativado para vê-lo..
