The Hollywood Reporter posts[1] that Oscar-winning New Zealand filmmaker Peter Jackson is set to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Dec. 8. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the award on Monday. Jackson’s star set to be placed outside the Dolby Theatre, the venue for the Academy Awards.
A number of stars who have appeared in Jackson’s two Tolkien trilogies, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, will be in attendance, including Andy Serkis as guest speaker, as well as Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage and Elijah Wood.
