While there are marathons of The Hobbit trilogy happening around the country in some theaters today, the final installment, The Battle of the Five Armies, doesn't start playing until tomorrow evening. And to hype up the release, Mondo has come through with two new collectible prints for the first two chapters of the J.R.R. Tolkien film adaptations. Ken Taylor is responsible for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journeyand Nicolas Delort created one for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. If you're a huge Middle Earth fan, find out how you can try to get these prints to frame on your wall at home. Look below!
Here's Ken Taylor's print for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
And then here's Nicolas Delort's print for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
And finally, here's Aaron Horkey's print for Fellowship of the Ring from Badass Digest[3]:
MTV[4] debuted the prints above, and they'll both go on sale sometime tomorrow. Ken Taylor's top print has an edition of 325 and will cost you $50 while Nicolas Delort's bottom piece will have an edition of 300 and will cost you $45. In addition, Delort's piece will have a variant (see it over at MTV[5]) that will have an edition of 125 and will cost a little more at $65. As for the Fellowship of the Ring piece, it has an edition of 606 and will cost $100. As always, stay tuned to @MondoNews on Twitter[6] to see when to try to get ahold of one.
